What is a song made of ?

What is a song made of?

1.    What are the 4 key element of music?

Melody, harmony, rhythm, dynamic

2.    Describer the meaning of the following terms in your own words

Melody is a musical line of single tone perceived as a unity

Range is a piece of distance between the lowest and highest tones

Shape is a melody takes its own direction or shape

Movement can be either conjunct or disjunct

Harmony is the relation of notes to notes and chords to chords as they played harmonic “pattern” are established from notes and chords in order.

Rhythm is by its simplest definition = musical time, the origin word is “Flow.” Strong pattern occurs in pattern.

Tempo – it is the musical term that indicates the overall pace of an arrangement.

Dynamic tells the performer when to play louder and softer and when to change from 1 to another.

3.    If you had pick one key element of music as the most important or your favorite elemnt, why?

If I had to pick one key element, it would be Rhythm because it is really important to have flow in the song. If the song doesn’t have a good flow, the song might not make sense.

4.    Which genre or type of music does you like the most? Explain why they appeal to you

I love Indian music because it has good meaning, good rhythm melody and it is in a great harmony. It is also what my parents listan to and what I have listened to since I started listening to music.

5.    You and your friend decide to make a playlist for a road trip. Which 5 song would you add to the list?

Ab tere bin jee lenge hum

My dil goes mmmm

Hum mar jayenge

Ishq risk

Kuke kuke

Chhan mohala

Subah hone na de

Full volume

What’s going on

Poems

Found Poem Reflection

1.       In your own words, describe found poetry. How is found poetry different than “regular” poetry?

Found poem is type of poetry created by taking the phrases from other sources. The differences between a found poem and a regular poem is that in regular poem, you write your word, sometimes make the words but in found poem, you find words from sources. The found poem is a secondary source but “regular” poem is primary source.

2.       Explain how you make cross out poem

First you find an article from a magazine or newspapers then you outline the words you like, cross out the words you don’t like. The final step love the way you made the poem.

3.       Explain how you make cut out poem
To make the cut out poetry, you just have to cut different type of words from    different magazines and then try to put them together that makes sense.

4.       Which poems out of the two do you like the best? Why

I really liked cut out poem because in cut out poem you can just cut words from various magazine and make it in to a different poem, which was really interesting for and it was the first time I have done cut out poem so it was a good experience for me

5.       How did you make your poem into a piece of art and not just a poem?

I made my poem into a piece of art by putting pictures on the poster. I took the picture from different magazines. This made it more like a fun and creative art than just a piece of poetry.
